Twin Sea Flex : Outdoor Installation at the Baltimore Museum of Art

Interactive sight specific installation at the Baltimore Museum of Art celebrating a new free admission policy in October of 2006. The twin sea flex is comprised of two welded scaffoldings bearing 10,000 vinyl gloves that are each filled with water. Weighing over 12 tons together. The glove vessels reflect the air temperature several hours prior to the current felt temp.Hugging the gloves in the morning sun visitors feel the cool skin of night. Conversely the gloves radiate warmth from the day in the evening hours. Visitors experience a sensation of touching something that is alive.
